This is such a GREAT time to go shopping & stock up your food storage and freezer! There are SO many amazing red/great deals this week at nearly every grocery store. These are the week's that make me giddy...so fun! I can't wait to get out and go shopping again.

I just went yesterday to take advantage of some of last week's awesome sales and got all of the above food for $96. This is all of the produce I need for my family's next 10 meals (tomatoes, avocados, oranges, onions, carrots, celery, broccoli, zucchini, romaine, red cabbage, cilantro, jalapenos, bananas, apples, green onions, red peppers, yellow peppers, orange peppers, mangos, lemons, etc.), 4 2 lb. boxes of graham crackers (a great bargain & a family favorite snack), 15 cans of evaporated milk (an awesome deal at Harmon's this week for .50...best price I have ever seen!), milk, eggs, sour cream, chocolate chips, 8 bags of marshmallows, and FIVE Honeysuckle Turkey Breasts. This was the STEAL of the day!! For those of you who are Deals to Meals members login and see all of the great deals this week. For those of you who are not members (shame on you--it's not too late ;)...I will give you ONE awesome tip that will help everyone save money on your Easter dinner plans. Target has an incredible deal on bone-in turkey breasts. They have their Market Pantry Turkey Breasts for .99/lb. That is SO cool! I would have bought 20 of them if I could fit them in my freezer. This was nearly half off per pound at Walmart (they were about $1.89-$2.28/lb.). Each turkey breast will feed my family for 2 meals and they each cost about $5-$8. That is a great deal for two meals for a family of 7! So, stock your freezers!

Have fun shopping! Remember, a membership to Deals to Meals only costs you $1.13 a week (and that includes your meal planner too). All you need to do is save $1 a week to make our service worth it. That's almost laughable! I saved over $60 at Walmart on ONE shopping trip! That is nearly 50% off Walmart's already low prices. Now...tell me that's not worth a $1??

Yesterday I had to laugh. I was checking out at Walmart and a lady behind me was saying..."Wow! You sure seem to know what you are doing. Do you use that one coupon website Meals on Wheels?" (I love that people always think that's our name..so funny!) I said, "Well, actually I don't use coupons, but yes, that is the company I use." (my family laughs at me that I never claim to have any connections with our company..it's embarrassing to me. Come on, I was in sweat pants and no make up..they wouldn't have believed me anyway!. After I was done checking out she was amazed that I got my cart for under $100. She said, "Well, I haven't ever signed up because I didn't think I would save the money each month, now I see that was ridiculous!" I just chuckled as the manager had to come and key the register because I saved over $50. Gotta love it ;)
