Ceremony

On more than one occasion I have heard that “too much focus is often placed on the wedding and not on the marriage”.
High divorce statistics remind us that this statement may indeed be true.

Yesterday Mr. Décor and I attended a beautiful wedding. The lovely ceremony, no doubt, took months to plan. No small detail was overlooked.

My romantic heart was overjoyed and my tear ducts threatened to spill over upon seeing the radiant happiness found on the faces of the bride and groom.
During the wonderful ceremony Mr. Décor took my hand in his.
We remembered a day that at times seems so very long ago and at other moments feels just like yesterday.
To witness young love can often reaffirm mature love. A love that has withstood both “for better and for worse” and “in sickness and in health”.

But we have not made this difficult journey alone. It wouldn’t be possible if we didn’t have the best guide ~ a perfect marriage counselor.

The Mighty Counselor.
