A huge “Thank you” to everyone who shared such good wishes for Rêve. As you can imagine I have had France on my mind and recently created a French Country inspired tablescape for Valentine’s Day.
The French word for love is of course amour. Valentine’s Day (la Saint Valentin) is enthusiastically celebrated by the French who love to use lots of red and natural elements.
For the centerpiece I stacked a few coverless paperback romance novels on top of one another and topped them with a simple bouquet of roses and eucalyptus.
A bit of romantic ambience was added with candlelight. Vintage jello molds were filled with red hots and topped with an unscented white votive.
Red hearts were created with a bit of cardstock, glitter and glue.
Each place setting featured a heart shaped favor filled with candy.
Wicker chargers and red gingham ribbon add in some country charm.
The chandelier was strung with a cute as a button Valentine garland.
A bonne Saint-Valentin to be sure!
Candy hearts or flowers?
